Completing your Brokerage Application

Why are you asking for information like my social security number or address?

In order to support various regulatory requirements, certain data is required by both Composer and Alpaca. This includes identity verification, such as full name, date of birth, and address, as well as tax information, such as social security number and investable assets.

Is my social security number safe?

We pass on info to our brokerage partner, Alpaca, and don't store this information.

Why do I need to open a brokerage account?

You won’t be able to automatically trade on Composer without an approved brokerage account.
