How do I indicate my deposit as a previous year's contribution?

When making a deposit to your IRA, the tax year will default to the current tax year. However, you can indicate the deposit as a contribution for the previous tax year up until the deadline of the current tax year.

To indicate the deposit as a contribution for the previous tax year, select the check box next to “Contribute to previous year” when making the deposit.
