Understanding Remaining Sell Amounts
When you request a partial sell from one of your stock or crypto symphonies, there may occasionally be a small amount that remains to be sold. This remaining amount will be sold during the next trading period to complete your partial sell request in full.
When does this occur?
The remaining amount arises when asset sales raise slightly less cash than the exact sell amount requested for the symphony
Why does This occur?
A few common reasons for these differences include:
- Market Volatility: Changes in asset prices during the trading period can alter the final sell amount.
- Fractionability Issues: Certain assets can only be sold in specific increments, leading to small variations that affect the sell amount
What happens to the remaining amount?
The remaining amount is queued to be sold during the next trading period. You can:
- Wait for the Next Trading Period: The remaining amount will be processed automatically.
- Cancel the Remaining Sell: If you no longer wish to sell the remaining amount, you can select to cancel it.
Example Scenario
You request to sell $1,000 from a symphony.
- The asset sales raise $990 due to factors such as market volatility or fractionability of assets.
- The remaining sell amount ($10 in this case) is automatically queued for the next trading period.
You can choose to wait for this amount to be processed or cancel the sell of the remaining if you no longer wish to proceed.
