Queued Buys

Funding in progress? The Queued Buy feature lets you schedule your symphony purchase to automatically execute once funds become available.

How Queued Buys Work

If you try to buy a symphony but don't have sufficient buying power in your account, you will queue the buy instead. Your queued buy will automatically execute during the first Trading Period after your account has enough cash to complete the purchase. This is particularly useful when you're waiting for a bank transfer to clear or for funds from a recent sale to settle.

Managing Your Queued Buys

You can view all of your queued buys on your portfolio page. If you change your mind, you can cancel any queued buy at any time before it executes.

Processing Order and Priority

Queued buys are processed in first-in-first-out (FIFO) order. This means that if you queue multiple purchases, Composer will prioritize your earliest queued buy first. For example, if you queue a $250 buy for Symphony A followed by a $100 buy for Symphony B, and then $300 becomes available in your account, your purchase of Symphony A will be scheduled for the next Trading Period while Symphony B will remain queued until additional funds arrive.

It's important to note that Buy Now transactions always take precedence over Queued Buys. Using the example above, even if Symphony B is still queued, you could choose to Buy Now with available funds. If you decide to immediately purchase $50 of Symphony C, that transaction will complete while Symphony B's queued buy continues to wait for sufficient funds.

Expiration

Queued buys expire after 30 days if there isn't sufficient cash in your account to execute them. If your queued buy expires, you'll need to buy the symphony or create a new queued buy if you still want to purchase that symphony.
