Why Can’t I Withdraw My Funds?

If you need instructions on how to withdraw your funds, please visit our How do I withdraw? Article.

If you are having issues withdrawing your funds, it may be due to the following reasons:

  1. Your Withdrawable Cash balance is 0 or lower than the input Amount to withdraw.

When you select to withdraw, you will be able to see your balance of Withdrawable Cash. There are a couple of factors that may affect this balance:

  • One factor is the type of funding used for the account:
  • If the account is funded by ACH (i.e., through Plaid), there is a 6 business-day holding period until the funds are withdrawable.
  • If the account is funded via wire transfer, the funds are withdrawable immediately after the wire has completed.

Another factor is settlement:

  • After selling a security, cash is not immediately available to withdraw. Security sales settle at T+1, so cash becomes withdrawable one business day after trades are made. Once cash is settled, it becomes withdrawable immediately.
